M3: A breath of fresh air for menswear - Founder's Note

In September 2025, Montreal will become the men's fashion capital of Canada with the much-anticipated return of M3 / Mode Masculine Montréal. More than an event, M3 is a platform for bold expression, where designers, artists, influencers, VIPs and business and cultural leaders meet.

At Maison Toki, we had the privilege of documenting and living this unique experience. As founder and photographer, I share here my impressions, images and vision of the future of menswear.

An exclusive event dedicated to menswear

M3 is the only event in Quebec and Canada devoted entirely to men's fashion and lifestyle. Its rich program combines :

  • Conferences & workshops: training and knowledge transfer.

  • Artistic performances: fashion as a multidisciplinary language.

  • Fashion shows & glamorous evenings: a celebration of style and designers.

It's both a showcase of creativity and a networking hub, where education, experimentation and celebration combine to propel Montreal fashion forward.

A breath of creative freshness

The previous edition showed that Montreal menswear is ready to reinvent itself.
Designers didn't hesitate to break codes with daring proposals:

  • Gender fluidity in silhouettes.

  • Raw and recycled materials, in response to environmental challenges.

  • Strong visual narratives, transforming each collection into a manifesto.

This breath of fresh air confirms that Montreal is a creative laboratory that rivals the great international capitals.

The Maison Toki look: documenting the moment

As photographer, my role was to capture the ephemeral essence of the event. The photos reflect this duality between tradition and daring:

  • Classic, luminous, structured runway shots.

  • More spontaneous backstage scenes, revealing the raw energy of the designers.

More than a parade: a movement

M3 is a platform for dialogue where fashion goes beyond mere aesthetics to address profound issues:

  • The evolution of masculine identities.

  • The challenges of sustainability and responsible consumption.

  • Montreal's place as an international creative hub.

In 2025, the M3 is not just a fashion event: it's a cultural and entrepreneurial movement.
