M3: A breath of fresh air for men's fashion - Founder’s Note

In September 2025, Montreal is set to become Canada's menswear capital with the highly anticipated return of M3 / Mode Masculine Montréal. More than just an event, M3 is a bold platform for expression, where designers, artists, influencers, VIPs, and business and cultural leaders converge.
At Maison Toki, we had the privilege of documenting and experiencing this unique experience. As a founder and photographer, I'm sharing my impressions, images, and vision for the future of menswear here.
An exclusive event dedicated to men's fashion
M3 is the only event in Quebec and Canada entirely dedicated to men's fashion and lifestyle. Its rich program blends:
Conferences & workshops: training and knowledge transfer.
Artistic performances: fashion as a multidisciplinary language.
Fashion shows & glamorous evenings: a celebration of style and creators.
It's both a creative showcase and a networking hub, where education, experimentation, and celebration come together to propel Montreal fashion forward.
A breath of creative fresh air
The previous edition showed that Montreal men's fashion is ready to reinvent itself.
Designers didn't shy away from breaking codes with bold proposals:
Gender fluidity in silhouettes.
Raw and recycled materials, addressing environmental challenges.
Strong visual narratives, transforming each collection into a manifesto.
This fresh breeze confirms that Montreal is a creative laboratory that rivals major international capitals.
Maison Toki's Take: Documenting the Moment
As a photographer, my role was to capture the ephemeral essence of the event. The photos convey this duality between tradition and boldness:
Classic, bright, and structured runway shots.
More spontaneous backstage scenes, revealing the raw energy of the creators.

Beyond a runway: a movement
M3 is a dialogue platform where fashion goes beyond mere aesthetics to address profound issues:
The evolving landscape of male identities.
Sustainability challenges and responsible consumption.
Montreal's role as an international creative hub.
In 2025, M3 isn't just a fashion event: it's a cultural and entrepreneurial movement.
